Painterly 2-Minute Tips: What You See is What You Get: Chroma Atelier Interactive Artists’ Acrylic

posted in: 2-Minute Tips, Art, Multimedia

For 28 years, I’ve been a die-hard oil painter. I’ve tried acrylics, and though I like that they dry quickly and cleanup is easy,  I just didn’t like how they dried darker than they appeared when wet. The color differential was a deal breaker for me.

And then I tried Chroma Atelier Interactive Artists’ Acrylic…

I experimented with them straight out of the tube to see how they’d perform. (I’ll eventually try them with mediums but I really wanted to see how they behave on their own.)Boy did they perform well!

They have a full body, blend like oils, and most important to me, the color is the same wet or dry. Yay!

My first order was small, just a few tubes to try them out…I have since re-ordered and will replace all of my acrylic with their pigments.

I really appreciate that Chroma’s literature accurately depicted the paint. I can’t wait to experiment with their mediums.

I was/am so excited about this paint, I reviewed the paint in an episode of my 2-Minute Tips. Check it out and please be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more tips and tricks!
