For the past several years, a book has been quietly growing inside me.
Not loudly. Not urgently. More like a steady whisper in the background of my life — returning in moments of stillness, during long walks, while painting, recording podcasts, or during my morning pages, always hinting, “It’s time.”
Lately, it’s become a yappy dog. So this summer, I decided it was time to make space for it.
During June, July, and August, I’ll be dedicating a significant portion of my creative energy to writing this book that has been gestating for years. It feels both exciting and a little terrifying to say that out loud, but I’ve learned that creative work often asks us to trust what wants to emerge before we fully understand it ourselves.

The Made to Make Podcast will continue as scheduled — I’m deeply committed to the conversations and community we’ve built together, and I’m so grateful for all of you who listen, share, and support it.
But some of the time I would normally devote to painting will be redirected toward writing. Not because I’m stepping away from art, but because this book is part of the same creative journey. In many ways, it feels connected to everything I’ve been exploring through the podcast: creativity, resilience, identity, purpose, and what it means to make something meaningful from our lives.
I don’t yet know exactly what this book will become.
I only know that it’s time to sit down, listen to it, and record it.
Thank you for continuing to walk alongside me through all the evolving seasons of creativity. I have a feeling this summer is going to change me in ways I can’t yet see, and I look forward to sharing pieces of that journey with you along the way.
Here’s to making space for what calls to us. I wish you an inspired month ahead.
