I’m so honored to report that an episode of my Painterly 2-Minute Tips: Paint Over It, has been nominated for a WAVE (Western Access Video Excellence) Award!
This nomination is so validating and proves that anything is possible if you keep moving toward your dream. I started this series during the middle of the pandemic, and have shot the entire body of work with my iPhone in my home studio. My husband is high-risk, so due to Covid concerns, we shelter in place. Though I would love to have a team help me with this work, it was just not physically possible. Consequently, I have written, filmed, edited, and distributed this series all on my own.
My mission for this work was/is to give a series of quick practical tips coupled with a blast of inspiration. I am happy to report that I am succeeding. It’s gaining an audience on YouTube and is now shown on four Television stations.
The Alliance for Community Media Western region covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico. This year the award show will be held virtually on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 7 p.m. Pacific. You won’t need to travel this year to participate as the ceremony will be live-streamed to ACM West’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
