“Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.”
John D. Rockefeller
As I was wrapping up the final episodes of Season 1’s Painterly Life Podcast, I had a realization: the name of my podcast, Painterly Life, just wasn’t working anymore.
A lot of people assumed the show was only about painting. But that was never the point. From the very beginning, this podcast has been about creativity in all its forms—and about the people who keep making, even when life gets hard or messy. While the name Painterly Life meant a lot to me, it no longer captured the range of voices and stories being shared here.
The idea of rebranding made me tired.
Really tired!
It would’ve been much easier to keep things the same. But I knew that if I didn’t make a change, the podcast would continue to feel limited—and so would its reach.
After a lot of thought, research, and back-and-forth, I landed on a new name: Made to Make.
It feels like a better fit for the show’s heart. And even though the rebrand took real work, it was a necessary step forward.
The final two episodes of Season 1 were released under Painterly Life. As we head into Season 2, the podcast will continue as Made to Make.
Same heart.
Same focus.
Just a name that finally fits.
Because we are all…
