Maybe it’s because I’m a March baby. Maybe it’s because spring has always felt like a quiet promise to me — a season where everything is stretching, waking up, becoming. What I love most about spring is how it reminds me that possibilities are endless. That sense of openness, of renewal, fills me with joy every single time. ❤
This abstract landscape grew out of that feeling. It’s inspired by my childhood home of Almaden, a place etched into me through memory rather than exact detail. I wasn’t trying to paint what Almaden looks like — I wanted to paint what it feels like: rolling hills softened by time, bursts of color like wildflowers after rain, and that familiar path that seems to invite you forward without telling you exactly where it leads.

I let intuition guide this piece, layering color and texture the way memories layer themselves — some vivid, some hazy, all connected. The movement in the painting mirrors growth itself: imperfect, alive, and constantly unfolding.
