Princess Sarah is the latest Goddess Series character to emerge.
I started her during a Facebook Live Session a few weeks back. Since that time, she’s been 1000 women.
Seriously!
I had her bursting out of paper, then clouds, then I completely changed directions but nothing felt right and the colors…ooof!
She went through some really awkward adolescent stages until she finally landed amidst the swirls. Here are just a couple of her incarnations that did not work out…
Her name wasn’t revealed to me until this morning when I signed her. I simply heard “Sarah” in my minds ear. At first I thought about changing her name to better fit with the Goddess theme but decided against it. All along I tried to impose my will on the painting, and it wasn’t until I finally let go, that the work came together.
I looked up the meaning of Sarah and was happy to discover that it means Princess and Noblewoman.
It is so fitting. She’s radiating all that and then some.
I never entirely covered up the color that went before and that has made her so much richer.
It’s a great metaphor for life…
