Today’s 2-Minute Tip Session is on Basic Brush Shapes

What brush you use is truly a personal preference. Here are 6 basic brush shapes and suggested uses for each shape:

 

Flat: Great for spreading paint and cutting into tight corners
Bright: Wide geometric shapes. Has more control due to the short bristles
Filbert: Organic shapes and also good for broad coverage
Fan: Blending, broken color ad foliage
Angle: Great for curves
Round: Letting and scroll work
Liner: Tiny detail, lettering and signing your work
